Cumberland style is one used to describe homes built in the late 19th or early 20th century with two front doors. Often times, one of the doors would lead into a private area such as a bedroom and the other into a living room or parlor. The existing home on this project was built in 1914 and was moved to preserve the significance of its time and style. VRI replicated the design because of its uniqueness within the neighborhood. The new home is 2,400 sq ft with 3 beds and a study. The soaring patio and detached garage make for stimulating rear elevation. Different slab elevations were used to define spaces for the open kitchen, dining, living areas.
